Lessons Of A Lifetime is an in depth study of the life of Jesus that will begin the first Sunday in January 2018 and continue for approx. six years. Lessons Of A Lifetime is also a chronological journey through the four gospels with an occasional glimpse into the Old Testament, the Epistles, and the book of Revelation for more biblical understanding and scriptural examples of what lessons of a lifetime are being learned while studying the life of Christ. Here at According To Jesus we believe Jesus is to be the focus of our study seeing He is the Word of God come in the flesh. Lessons Of A Lifetime is an ongoing study that appears every Sunday in hope of encouraging and enlightening all who realize the spiritual benefit of the continued study of the Word of God which includes the study of the life and eternal words of Jesus. Jesus Himself declared to a group of Jewish so-called religious leaders of His day, “You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these [the Scriptures both Old and New Testament] are they which testify of Me. But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life [eternal life].” The problem is not that some search the Scriptures, the problem is that many search the Scriptures in vain if they miss the spiritual fact that Jesus is the buried treasure of all Scripture. The biblical fact is that Jesus is our great exceeding reward found in every book from Genesis to Revelation.

Jesus also proclaimed one day to the multitudes, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” As the life of Jesus Christ is studied, we learn the lessons of a lifetime that are required to understand what the yoke of Jesus is and that it is easy and that His burden is light, unlike man’s yoke which is difficult and his burden is heavy beyond measure. As the life of Christ is studied in depth we learn the lessons of a lifetime by coming to Jesus in obedience to His command which leads to our learning from Him the true gospel message.

As we approach these last days we must approach them thoroughly equipped with the two-edged sword of the Word of God hidden within our hearts that we might not sin against God. As end time true believers in Jesus we must study to show ourselves approved unto God, workers who rightly divide, workers who rightly understand and rightly communicate the truth of the true gospel according to Jesus.
