Part 1 – Study Lesson 1
An End Time Warning To Consider:
These lessons of a lifetime mid-week messages are in response to an article I read recently that was written by Justin D. Ridgeway, and published in Tomorrow’s World on July 8th, 2020. The author began by stating, “Storms, wildfires, earthquakes, and other natural disasters have frequently dominated the news over the past several years.”
He also reported, “These catastrophes cause massive power outages, food shortages, and billions of dollars in damages to personal lives and property.” He explained that we all should be asking ourselves the question, “Am I ready for such an event?” He also asked, “Are you preparing like the ant?”
Scripture To Consider:
“Go to the ant [or learn from the ant], you sluggard [or lazy and or unconcerned of the future individual]! Consider her [the ant’s] ways [or methods of preparation for her and others survival] and be wise, which having no captain [leader], overseer or ruler [political or religious], provides her supplies [personal necessities] in the summer [during good times], and gathers her food in the harvest [during times of plenty].” Proverbs 6.6-8
Something To Consider:
Compared to the human race, the ant is extremely small and seemingly insignificant to most of earth’s occupants. And yet, ants have been considered very important in teaching the lesson of a lifetime concerning preparation. In these mid-week messages, we will be exploring various Scriptures that will hopefully lead us to a conclusion that better helps us to be prepared for what the bible itself warns us of concerning being prepared and what to be prepared for.
In my writing these response lessons in May, June, and July of 2021, I have become a firm believer that those of us alive upon planet earth, may indeed be among the last generation living and nearing the end of this age. And yet, others are entitled to their own and different opinions, of this I admit. But, if we are indeed the last generation to be ruled and wickedly manipulated by so-called elite men and women, should we not consider being prepared for what lies ahead?
Something Else To Consider:
I personally have been encouraged by God, for over forty (40) years to study the life of Jesus and His words contained in the four gospels and in the book of Revelation. I thank the Lord for the challenge I received from Him so many years ago. Jesus, the Word of God, came in the flesh, and was and still is, full of grace and full of truth. Therefore, the early disciples beheld His glory as if the glory of the only begotten Son of God.
And yet, over the centuries Christendom has saw fit for whatever reasons, to neglect, to alter, and to outright reject the glory filled, grace filled, and truth filled words and teachings of Jesus. And in actuality, religious, not spiritual entities, church organizations, denominations, seminaries, and other so-called higher educational institutions have produced and proclaimed false man-made and demonic induced doctrines of deception that are totally contrary to the teaching of Jesus and the Word of God.
Therefore, the so-called church has become an evil breeding ground for perilous times and perilous men. According to the apostle Paul writing in 2 Timothy chapter 3, we read; “For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power.”
Something More To Consider:
Read through that list again slowly! Then look at the society around us. Paul’s prophetic prediction has enveloped the human race, and we are now reaping the ungodly consequences of unchecked sin and arrogant run-away pride.
Paul continued his expose on this 21st century generation, by further stating in verse 5 of 2 Timothy chapter 3; “And from such people turn away!” In other words, do not be affiliated with them. Do not pledge your allegiance to them or to their evil false doctrines of deception.
Rather, let us be as the ant, going about our business of being prepared for what the bible predicts will take place in the end times or last days, if indeed we are the final generation. Paul concluded his treatise on perilous times and perilous men, by declaring of them; “Always learning and never being able to come to the knowledge of the truth.”
A Few Final Words:
What is it that we, as 21st century, truly born-again believers in Jesus and in the truth; what is it that we need to be prepared for? According to Jesus, in Matthew chapter 24, the end times will become extremely difficult for true enduring to the end Christian believers.
And yet, the majority of Christendom believes and strongly holds to the false and unbiblical doctrine known as the pre-tribulation rapture theory. But what does the bible teach? What does the apostle Paul teach? What does Daniel, the Old Testament prophet teach?
And more important, what does Jesus teach concerning end times and the sequence of end time events? These are some of the important end time topics we will be discussing, exploring, and investigating from a biblical perspective in the following mid-week messages of much end time importance concerning our being prepared to endure to the end and why we should!
In Closing:
Therefore, are we considering the ant and their very productive method of survival-style preparation? As mentioned in the article by Justin D. Ridgeway, the ant could not survive the harshness of the winter months if it had not prepared in the summer by gathering food underground.
Several times in the life of Jesus, He proclaimed; “Be ready…” “Be watchful…” In Matthew 24.42, Jesus warned, “Watch therefore, for you know not what hour your Lord [Jesus] is coming.” And in verse 44, Jesus cautioned; “Therefore, you also be ready; for in such an hour as you do not think the Son of Man [Jesus] is coming.”
Are we watching? Are we ready? And does the bible actually reveal other end time perilous events that will take place prior to the coming of Jesus? Next week we will begin to explore the biblical record concerning end time events to be prepared for that indeed do take place prior to the second coming of Jesus Christ. Bring your bibles!
Let’s Pray:
Our Father in heaven, help us to be concerned enough to know the truth of the Word of God, and not just what false end time prophets want us to hear that will keep the church financial coffers filled. Give us the spiritual gift of discernment that we so much are in need of that will help us in believing the end time teachings of Jesus. In Him Always, Amen!
