Part 3 – Study Lesson 3
An End Time Warning To Consider:
The author, Justin D. Ridgeway, who wrote the article entitled, Consider The Ant And Be Wise, stated in his writing; “Jesus Christ warned that at the end of the age, there would be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places in Matthew 24.7-8”. The author further stated, “Jesus said there would be a time of confusion and great fear with, ‘…the sea and the waves roaring’, and …men’s hearts failing’, as described by Jesus in Luke 21.25-26.”
The article continued, “Christ knew there would be hurricanes, tornados, wildfires, earthquakes, and tsunamis that would cause billions of dollars in damage and devastate large communities.” He further reported, “Food shortages and diseases are also linked to disasters, by which many will be taken off guard. Christ gave us these warnings for our admonition, encouraging us to, ‘Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass.’ Luke 21.36”
The author followed up with a most eye-opening question. “Will you be caught off guard or will you be ready? Consider the ant and prepare, being wise to escape the coming danger.”
And yet, the truth is according to the Word of God, that God has not accounted the righteous to receiving His wrath or end time judgment. But there is no such promise of our escaping the evil wrath of Satan, the Antichrist, or ungodly elite men and women ruling from places of power in the earth granted to them for such a time as this.
Scripture To Consider:
“Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying ‘I [Jesus] am the Christ [Messiah],’ and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for these things [end time events predicted by Jesus in advance] must come to pass, but the end is not yet.”
“For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.”
“Then they [religious and political elite style leaders] will deliver you [end time believer in Jesus] up to tribulation and kill you [as they did Jesus and millions of others since], and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended [therefore many will depart from the faith], will betray one another, and will hate one another.”
“And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many [one-time believers] will grow cold. But he [or she] who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom [the gospel of enduring to the end] will be preached [by three angels in Revelation chapter 14] this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all nations, and then the end will come.” Matthew 24.4-14
Something To Consider:
The apostle Paul borrowed Jesus’ warning here in Matthew 24.4, to inject into his message of end time events and their sequence in 2 Thessalonians 2.3, when Paul admonished; “Let no one deceive you by any means.” For here in Matthew 24.4, Jesus warned, “Take heed that no one deceives you.”
But who does the no one mentioned by both Paul and Jesus include? According to Jesus, “For many will come in My name [that is in the name of Jesus as if Christian], saying, ‘I [Jesus] am the Christ [or Messiah of the Old Testament Scripture]’”.
And the worse part of the coming of many religious pretenders, also according to Jesus, is that in their coming they deceive many, not few, and not some, but many. It is extremely important that we realize that in the world we should want to be among the few and never among the many floating downstream with every false wind of doctrine.
It is now and will be in the near future, that the many are deceived and the few find the entrance point of Jesus, the true way into the eternal kingdom of God. It is the many who are deceived into following after the many other false man-endorsed ways and means of attempting to maneuver their way into the kingdom. And yet, in the end, they will be found by God lacking the righteousness only available in and through Jesus Christ and His sacrificial atonement upon an old rugged cross.
It is also important according to Jesus, to understand that as true enduring to the end believers, many of us will be delivered up to the tribulation and persecution of the coming Antichrist, who will be revealed before the coming of our true Christ and Savior Jesus, according to the Word of God.
It is also important to realize that some will be betrayed by one-time believers of whom once they see the Antichrist revealed will realize they have been lied to by the many wolves in sheep’s clothing concerning the false man-made message of the pre-tribulation rapture.
Something Else To Consider:
This realization will create a massive world-wide offending, falling away, and huge departing from the faith of many one-time so-called believers, especially in America, the land of the very few truly free, and yet very foolish and deceived many. This may be the point in which nation will rise against nation and spiritual kingdom against spiritual kingdom.
I can suggest this sequence because famines and pestilence follow warfare in whatever century or generation where wars are prevalent, especially if nuclear and or biological warfare style weapons are used. Could it be this is what Jesus is referencing when in Matthew 24.21 He declared of the end times, “For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.”
And if we examine the proliferation of the ever-increasing number of earthquakes and the increase in intensity of earthquakes since 1970, we will discover that we are living in the day and age Jesus was predicting in Matthew chapter 24. And according to Jesus, these are the beginning of sorrows!
Something More To Consider:
In the Matthew chapter 24 sequence of end time events, Jesus spoke of the actual delivering up to tribulation of end time believers by the betrayal of one-time believers and religious and political leaders who go along to get along with the soon coming one world ruling system. At this point in end time events, commerce will have been shut down for those who refuse to pledge the allegiance to the Antichrist and or one world government, or who refuse the mandated experimental so-called vaccines of DNA alteration.
At some point, possibly sooner than we think, true believers will not be able to work, travel, purchase groceries or the basic necessities of life. Trust me when I say, then will not be the time to prepare! Now is the time to prepare our hearts and minds as well as our families for the perilous times and perilous people that are already in places and positions of power. Let us therefore be watchful! Let us therefore be ready and prepared!
A Few Final Words:
Also, according to Jesus, “And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many [the love of the truth by one-time believers] the love of many will grow cold.” Have we not been experiencing the abounding or increasing of lawlessness at least in America? And it appears to be going unchallenged for the most part in many democratic ruled cities and states with little to no judicial consequences.
But the good news is encouraging from an eternal perspective. And is that not the only true perspective we should be considering as true truth believing followers of Jesus? For according to Jesus in Matthew 10.22, Matthew 24.13, and Mark 13.13, “But he [or she] who endures to the end [of their lives or endures to the end of the age] they shall be saved.”
What about those who refuse to love the truth? What about those who are offended because they believed the lie? What about those who will depart from the faith? Shall they be saved according to Jesus? I will leave that for the Holy Spirit to answer! And yet, “Take heed that no one deceives you.”
And this gospel of enduring to the end, will be preached in all the world according to Jesus. And yet, it is not being preached by many men, but it will be preached by angels before the end as in Revelation chapter 14. Therefore, are we enduring to the end? Or will we foolishly surrender to the whims of the Antichrist?
In Closing:
Where are we in the timing of these end time events predicted by Jesus, Paul, John, and other saintly scribes of the Word of God. Jesus proclaimed in Matthew 24.33-34, “So you also, when you see all these things [end time events Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24], know that it [the end of this age] is near-at the doors! Assuredly, I say to you, this generation [the generation that sees these things] this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.”
How close are we? No man knows for sure! But according to the Word of God, our redemption is nearer than when we first believed. According to the words and warnings of Jesus, Peter, Paul, and John, our time on earth is rapidly coming to a close. Have we prepared? Have we considered the ant? Are we ready for the biblically revealed end time events?

Our Father in heaven, we are seeing these end time events Jesus spoke of taking place in the earth. Help us to set aside our unbelief in order to prepare as you would have us do. Otherwise, why all the warnings? May we truly trust Your Word and the predictions of Jesus our Lord and Savior. In Him Always, Amen!
