Part 5 – Study Lesson 5
An End Time Warning To Consider:
We have read the warnings of the apostle Paul in 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 in an earlier lesson. We have explored the end time warnings of both Gabriel, an archangel, and Daniel, an Old Testament prophet of God.
We have considered much of what Jesus has predicted will take place in the end times. We have heard His warning to every generation; “Take heed that no one deceives you.” Let us now consider some further predictions and warnings of Jesus in Matthew chapter 24.
Scripture To Consider:
“Immediately after [not before and not during but according to Jesus] immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.”
“Then the sign of the Son of Man [Jesus] will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes [nations] of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.”
“And He [Jesus] will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together [rapture those who have endured to the end of the age and or to the end of their lives] from the four winds [four corners of the earth according to Mark’s gospel], from one end of heaven to the other.”
Something To Consider:
According to Jesus, in His end time treatise, His coming and His gathering His saints will be immediately after the tribulation that He spoke of as being great tribulation unlike anything in previous history. If His coming and gathering His saints is immediately after the tribulation of those days, we can be assured His coming is after the wars and rumors of wars, nations rising against nations, famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in many places.
We can therefore also be assured that Christ’s second coming is after the revelation of the Antichrist, the abomination of desolation and a great spiritual falling away or a mass departing from the faith. From Jesus’ discourse in Matthew 24, we can be confident that His coming is after the great offending of one-time believers and their betrayal of true believers, much persecution, and the actual killing of many end time believers in Jesus.
Therefore, are we ready? Are we prepared for what is coming according to the Word of God? What should we be doing differently?
Something Else To Consider:
And so, the world and billions of individuals will be awakened to their being deceived concerning the second coming of Jesus when they see these things taking place immediately after the tribulation. The sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven after the tribulation. Will that be the sign of the cross at Calvary, I cannot say with certainty? But it will be after the tribulation according to Jesus.
What I can say with confidence is, that according to Jesus, all the nations alive upon planet earth, will mourn, most likely due to their realization that they have been deceived and that they find themselves unprepared for the greatest and most important event in all of human history! What about us?
What should we be doing different if we believe the Word of God and the words of Jesus? How would that change our outlook on this 21st century? These are indeed some things to consider!
Something More To Consider:
In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, and at the sound of a great trumpet, Christ’s angels will gather or rapture His elect enduring to the end, end time believers both alive and dead, to Himself. They will be gathered from throughout the entire earth and also millions who have been killed for their faith during the great tribulation out of heaven.
There will be no pre-tribulation Hollywood produced version of an Americanized great escape from the tribulation of those days. We have been warned. Therefore, will we be prepared for the coming perilous times, perilous men, and a vengeful, brutal, and lying Antichrist, the earthly representative of Satan himself?
Are we being prepared to endure to the end of this age or to the end of our lives as instructed by Jesus in Matthew 10.22, Matthew 24.13, and Mark 13.13? These are questions that must be answered and addressed if our goal is to be prepared for these biblically warned of end time events!
A Few Final Words:
The sequence of end time events has been stated clearly in Matthew 24 and 2 Thessalonians chapter 2. And yet, the majority of so-called church denominations and so-called Christian leaders herald a pre-tribulation rapture unbiblical false message. Yes, these things concerning end time events are not exactly pleasurable things to look forward to. But the truth is always true and enlightening!
Jesus, Daniel, Gabriel, and the apostle Paul, have revealed the biblical truth concerning the coming of an Antichrist lawless one. And the truth is, that this earthly Satanic representative is coming as a counterfeit to Jesus Christ. And he will come displaying signs and wonders that humankind will receive and believe due to their refusal to receive the truth of the Word of God!
In Closing:
Will we be considered by God as the ant? Will we be considered by God as wise or foolish? Will we be prepared to endure to the end of this age or possibly to the end of our most likely highly persecuted lives? Following this final lesson are some practical ways of being physically prepared to endure unto the end.
We are reminded in Hebrews 11.7; “By faith Noah, being warned by God of things not yet seen, was moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.” We have been warned of things not yet seen but described in the Word of God. Will we by faith act upon these end time warnings?
I leave you with one last Scripture that the apostle Paul shared with the Christians at Rome in Romans 13.11-14. “And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now, our salvation is nearer than we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore, let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light [the light of the Word of God]. Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry [or partying] and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.”
And yet, if we fail in the flesh, let us repent! It is not complicated. For according to Jesus, “Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
Let’s Pray:
Our Father in heaven, time is of the essence, as we approach the end of this age. Therefore, we require Your help and Your wisdom that is freely available in the Word of God. Teach us to be more like the ant and therefore prepared for evil and hard times that are on the horizon. May we heed the many in advance warnings of Jesus Christ and the Word of God. Part 6 – Practical Preparation Guide
What follows is a list that can be found on many preparedness websites, but is still important to be mentioned when preparing for end time events and the possible survival of the before-mentioned biblical end time events! This list and these items are in no way to take the place of a present tense and up to date faith filled relationship with Jesus Christ as both Lord and Savior.
And the obtaining of these items in no way excludes any of us from the warned of end time coming persecution, betrayal, hatred, and even end time deaths of true enduring to the end believers in Jesus Christ. And yet, our ant-like diligent end time preparation may be a life-saving means to others of our families and or neighbors and friends.
Water:
At least one (1) gallon of water per person per day is recommended. But you will need a source of additional water if the electric grid goes down. If you reside in a city, the water will cease to flow. If you live in an area that allows bored or drilled water wells, you will need to be able to access the stored underground water in that well. A bored water well can be accessed simply by removing the heavy concrete cover and attaching a water gathering bucket or container to the end of the rope or chain.
If you have access to a drilled water well the collection of stored water is more complicated but can be prepared for in advance. The drilled water well pump and water well supply piping will need to be removed from the well casing. You must plan to achieve this only after it is realized that the electric power will most likely not be turned back on!
At this time the power is off but you may want to turn the electric breaker to the well off in case the power was to be restored. Then remove the water well cap. Connect a previously purchased T-handle bar to the top of the well pump housing and begin removing the adapter and water supply line and well pump. This could be anywhere from 100’ – 500’ or more worth of water supply piping.
Hopefully, you have considered these things in advance due to the biblical warnings concerning end time events. And if so, you may have previously purchased a water well bucket or some other online product that will be required to retrieve good clean drinking water from your drilled water well.
Meanwhile, there is another end time scenario we must be prepared for as it pertains to drinking water and water you will need to cook with. To properly understand this end time event from a biblical perspective, we must read Revelation 8.10-11 as reported by John and revealed to the world by Jesus.
According to the Word of God, “And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it was a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters [the freshwater supply of the earth’s water]; and the name of the star is called Wormwood. And the third part of the waters became wormwood [or bitter and poisonous]; and many men [probably women and children] died of the water, because they were made bitter.”
Therefore, you will need a way to purify water. Actually, as a prepper the saying is, “Two is one!” Therefore, start making sure you have a back-up plan for everything. But make sure that God is our #1 plan and our relationship with Him and His Word is imperative. Otherwise, we gain all these things to possibly prolong our lives and lose our own souls and the souls of those looking on at our lives. And trust me, there are many looking at our lives!
Make preparations to collect rainwater. Also know where your closest bodies of water are located, such as lakes, rivers, ponds, and streams. And boiling water is one of the safest ways to treat water from these other sources. Heating water to a boil and continuing to boil for one (1) minute is the recommended method of purifying water. Pouring the cooled water back and forth into two containers will put oxygen back into the water and allowing it to taste better.
Invest in a water purifying system that works with the use of filters. Purchase several additional filters even though they are expensive, and remember, two is one! Also, keep in mind that everything you purchase is an investment into the possible survival of yourself, your family, and most likely the many less fortunate individuals who did not heed the warnings or did not receive the warnings.
Food:
Most people claim they do not know where to start with being prepared as it pertains to food preparation. My favorite food supply is 25-30 years #10 cans of freeze-dried or dehydrated food. Long term food storage is important, but the easiest method is what we can do on a weekly basis. Every week while grocery shopping simply purchase some extra canned foods and water.
As your knowledge of prepping increases you will begin to add other items such as paper products, first aid items, medicines, cleaning products, as well as other types of food and drink options. Try to store food you enjoy eating and attempt to rotate them.
Foods that store well are as follows: rice, pasta, dry beans, canned meat, canned vegetables, canned fruit, tang, coffee, teas, sugar, honey, salt, powdered milk, soup mixes, canned soup, chili, beef stew, baked beans, Vienna sausages, canned fish, canned ham, canned chicken, canned sloppy joe, canned butter, canned cheese, canned bread, boxed jello, boxed puddings, boxed stuffing, sardines, gravy mixes, macaroni and cheese, instant oatmeal, tomato sauce, twinkies, candy, etc. Let your taste buds be your guide.
First Aid – Personal Hygiene:
Of course, we should always have an extra supply of pain medications, band aids, bandages, soaps, detergents, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, razors, a way and means of washing clothes and bodies in a survival no electric available crisis. And if you live in the city as mentioned earlier, and the electric grid goes down, the toilets will no longer flush without water.
If you have access to a home with a septic tank and septic field, an approximate 1-1/2 gallon of water will flush most toilets. This is extremely important. Therefore, you will need a way of collecting flushing water!
Shelter:
Many preppers prepare bug out bags and all that would require their surviving the elements. We are of the age that we would not get far or last for too long, so we are planning to stay put here on the homestead, Lord willing!
Essential Items To Shelter In Place:
Gas grill or grills [two is one]…
Full propane tanks [plural]…
Wood grill or grills [wood and or charcoal]…
Fireplace if available w/ cooking utensils…
Several cords of firewood for heat/cooking…
Wood stove [cook stove] if available…
Solar oven, gloves, dark pots…
Matches, fire starters, candles…
Oil lanterns, oil, wicks…
Radios, flashlights, batteries…
Can openers [plural]…
Duct tape, rope, tarps…
Raised bed gardens…
Garden seeds, sprouting seeds…
Garden soil, compost, fertilizer…
Burn barrels for trash burning…
Wash barrels, rain barrels…
Work clothes, gloves, boots…
And remember, God is a God of hope! 1 Thessalonians 5.9 declares, “For God has not appointed us [true born again and cleansed through repentance present tense believers in Jesus] has not appointed us to wrath [God’s end time wrath that will be poured out on a most deserving wicked and unrighteous world], but [for true believers] to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.”
And according to Jesus, in Luke 21.36, speaking of end time events; “Watch and pray always, that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things [God’s righteous end time judgment upon sinners] that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man [Jesus].”
In Closing:
We, as true believing end time earthly occupants preparing to endure to the end, in accordance with Jesus’ command to do so, we must become as little cities of refuge for our families and our communities. There is strength in numbers! Many if not most, will be taken totally by surprise. Let that not be the end time scenario that describes our lives!
There is one last end time scenario I want to suggest as important. Paul testifies to an end time human characteristic in 2 Timothy 3.13. “But evil men and imposters [both religious and political] will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.” When society realizes all hope outside of Jesus Christ and the truth of the Word of God is lost, then evil men and imposter-like hypocritical religious and political so-called leaders will grow worse and worse.
When the electric, water, and food supply cease to flow into places such as Chicago Illinois, Philadelphia Pa, Detroit Mi, St Louis Mo, Memphis Tn, Baltimore Md, and 95 other cities according to the Neighborhood Scout’s most dangerous 100 cities in America in 2021; mass chaos will occur. Out of these crime infested areas will be unleashed thousands of rogue and roaming gangs armed and dangerous.
They will be seeking food, water, ammunition, and more guns and any means of taking total domination of the prepared populace hiding out in the suburbs, villages, towns, and out of sight hidden hide-away locations of the country, mountainside, and shorelines of this once great God-fearing nation.
One man and one woman, or an entire household will not be a deterrent to the number of evil men, women, and young people who have aligned themselves with all that is evil and unrighteous. Therefore, community must become a priority.
Should Christians be storing up guns and ammunition in their preparedness? That is a question you must answer as a man or woman and child of God! I will before ending this section, quote from Revelation 6.8, as John wrote, “So I looked, and behold a pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death, and Hades followed with him. And power was given to them over a fourth [1/4] of the earth, to kill with sword [earthly weapons], with hunger [created by wars or food shortages] with death, and by the beasts of the earth.”
In the end, as food becomes scarce and more valuable than gold and or silver, domesticated animals will most likely be turned out into the wild to fend for themselves. They will eventually be found by the human race running in packs seeking whatever to sustain their lives in the form of food. I will ask again, should Christians be storing up guns and ammunition to defend themselves from the wild beasts of the earth, whether that be animal or human? I therefore leave you with much to consider.
