End Time Warnings To The Nation Of Israel
Or
The Abomination Of Desolation
Sunday Oct. 30, 2022
Scripture To Consider:
“Therefore, when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let them understand), “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes.”
“But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.”
“Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it. For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you beforehand.”
“Therefore, if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner room!’ do not believe it. For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes in the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles [vultures] will be gathered together.” Matthew 24.15-28
Something To Consider:
Jesus now focuses His attention on the nation of Israel. We know this because He mentions Judea and He mentions those on housetops, a common practice in that land and culture. Also, Jesus admonishes them to pray that this dreadful event, the abomination of desolation, does not take place on the Sabbath. What group of people other than the nation of Israel would be concerned about how far they could or could not travel on the Sabbath? Jesus was then and now is warning the nation of Israel concerning end time tribulation events.
For the most part, the Jewish nation of Israel still does not believe Jesus is their Messiah. They are still looking for their Savior to appear. And when the Antichrist comes on the scene with his middle east peace pact, the nation of Israel will be deceived into thinking and believing that he is the Messiah.
But, once he enters the yet to be built Jewish temple and ceases the animal sacrifices, and proclaims himself to be God, their spiritually blinded eyes will be opened. And until then, Jesus’ warnings are written in red for all those with spiritual ears to hear can understand.
Something Else To Consider:
There are many varying interpretations of just what is the abomination of desolation. Some teach that this event took place in 168 B.C., when Antiochus Epiphanes entered the temple and sacrificed a pig to the pagan false god Zeus and stained the altar of God with its blood.
But Jesus was not speaking of a past event. Others see this happening in 70 A.D., when Roman soldiers entered the temple carrying Roman standards which had carved images upon the flags. But Jesus was and is speaking of end time events. And what happened in 70 A.D. was nearly 2000 years ago, hardly an end time event.
This end time event, the abomination of desolation, is a future end time event. And though the building of a new Jewish temple in Jerusalem seems to be an impossibility, so was Jesus’ prediction of not one stone being left upon another but that all of the stones of Herod’s temple would be throw down which they were in 70 A.D. And yet, if it is foretold in the Word of God, we can be assured it will come to pass!
Something More To Consider:
According to Daniel 9.27, this event will take place in the middle of a seven year peace treaty. And again in Daniel 11.31-35, Daniel places this event as part of the end time. But does an event that happened over nineteen hundred years ago constitute being called an end time event?
Paul described an event in 2 Thessalonians chapter 2, which may shed some light on the abomination of desolation. Paul wrote of a man of sin and also labels him as the son of perdition, by stating; “Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshipped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.”
Paul and Jesus are describing a future end time event. Therefore, this abomination of desolation will be seen all over the world by way of television and the internet. And the moment this takes place, people everywhere will realize they have been lied to by so-called religious pretenders peddling their false and damning pre-tribulation rapture theory.
At that point in mankind’s history many who based their unbiblical Christianity on a false pre-tribulation Americanized escape plan will be greatly offended. And according to Jesus and others, they will stoop to betraying family members and friends in order to feed their bellies or to escape being killed by the Antichrist.
A Few Final Words:
Therefore, these end time warnings to the nation of Israel are also end time warnings to anyone with spiritual ears to hear what the Holy Spirit of God has to say within the written and preserved Word of God. Are you prepared for what happens after the abomination of desolation? Is your family prepared for perilous end time events? At this moment, there is still time!
The Antichrist will demand to be worshipped. He will mandate the receiving of a mark in every human being alive, to be placed on the right hand or on the forehead. Without this sign of allegiance to the Antichrist, no one will be allowed to buy or to sell, or to seek employment, and will be refused the enjoyments or usual comforts of society.
According to Jesus of Nazareth, the third Jewish temple with its holy place, will be built in Jerusalem, if only to fulfill prophecy spoken by Daniel the prophet. For according to Jesus, “Therefore, when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let them understand), “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.” Have we understood?
Prayer:
Our Father in heaven, we pray for the true peace of Jerusalem, not a false peace promised by a power-hungry Antichrist Satan-style puppet. Teach us through the Word of God of end time events and especially the in advance end time warnings of Jesus. In Him Always, Amen!
