More End Time Warnings To All Nations
Or
The Fig Tree Israel Warning
Sunday Nov. 6, 2022
Scripture To Consider:
“Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man [Jesus] will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.”
“And He [Jesus] will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect [all true believers in Christ] from the four winds [or four corners of the earth], from one end of heaven to the other.”
“Now learn this parable from the fig tree. When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near, at the doors! Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.” Matthew 24.29-36
Something To Consider:
Jesus said, “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of heavens will be shaken.” Immediately after the tribulation of what days? And when do these heaven shaking events take place?
We know that they did not take place in 168 B.C. or in 70 A.D. Jesus was speaking in regard to the days immediately after the tribulation that will begin to take place after the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet. He was speaking of the time after the abomination that makes desolation in the future yet to be built Jewish temple.
And yet, many claim, contrary to Jesus, Daniel, Paul, and John, that the building of another Jewish temple will never be allowed. They say this is an impossibility! And yet, that is the same thing the majority said about the destruction of Herod’s temple and that Jesus predicted every stone, one stone upon another was to be thrown down.
Jesus, in advance, predicted in Matthew 24.2, “Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down.” You can read more concerning that event in the lesson of a lifetime dated Oct. 23, 2022. If it is declared within the Word of God to futuristically take place, we can take it as God’s honest truth! And there is much just in Matthew chapter 24 that those called by His name should be taking more seriously.
Something Else To Consider:
Some attempt to quietly sweep these verses under the proverbial carpet of symbolism. Jesus, in His additional warnings to all nations was describing a futuristic end time cataclysmic event in which the likes have never been seen in the history of the earth, nor shall ever be seen again, according to Jesus.
John writing in Revelation chapter 6, beginning in verse 12, soberly declared, “I looked when He [the Lamb, Jesus] opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood. And the stars of heaven fell to earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind.”
Jesus and John are describing the exact same devastating destruction of a future end time event. Therefore, who are we believing when it comes to end time events? Are we believing Jesus, or Daniel, or Ezekiel, or John, or Paul, or pretending religious wolves in sheep’s clothing who are more concerned with filling the offering plate than you being filled with the truth of God’s Word?
Whether the truth Jesus and or others is proclaimed by men or not in this 21st century generation, it is still the truth. If we were wise, we would study the truth and seek to understand it. For our eternal lives and the lives of our family and friends, in the end will depend upon that truth!
Something More To Consider:
Jesus also said, “Now learn this parable from the fig tree. When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near.” Was Jesus saying the generation that is alive and sees Israel, the fig tree of the bible, became a nation again on May 14th, 1948, after being scattered across the entire globe, for that nation to sit up and to take notice?
That is what many evangelicals believe. Much has happened in the world since 1948. Much has happened in the nation of Israel since 1948. Much has happened in the aligning of worldwide economic and political events. Therefore, what nations will heed the end time warnings of Jesus?
According to the Word of God, the nation of Israel will be allowed to build their Jewish temple. According to Daniel, Jesus, and Paul, the Antichrist will enter that temple and bring an end to animal sacrifices, probably due to animal activists and a popular outcry of so-called woke correctness. And he will proclaim himself to be God!
A Few Final Words:
At that point, the Jewish nation, after more end time warnings to all nations come to fruition, will realize they have been deceived, even after Jesus’ warning; “Take heed that no one deceives you.” At that point, whatever preparations have been made, that will remain the status of your end time preparations as end time believers!
Jeremiah, and Old Testament prophet more than twenty-five hundred years earlier, prophesied of God’s restoring the nation of Israel as a fruitful fig tree. And according to Jesus, could Israel’s rebirth as a nation be a major event in end time events? If so, we are actually witnessing end time events unfold before our very eyes.
For according to Jesus, “Now learn this parable from the fig tree. When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near.” What, therefore, are we doing to be spiritually and physically prepared for end time events?
Prayer:
Our Father in heaven, help us and all people of every nation to heed Your end time warnings before it is too late for too many. Help us to heed the in advance warnings of biblical scribes and of course, Jesus. In Him Always, Amen!
