Final End Time Warnings To All Nations
Or
Faithful And Wise Servants
Sunday Nov. 20, 2022
Scripture To Consider:
“Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household to give them food in due season? Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing. Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods.”
“But if that evil servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming,’ and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards, the master of that servant will come in a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of, and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” Matthew 24.45-51
Something To Consider:
Jesus’ opening question in our Scripture to consider today is an open-ended question and yet, it is still appropriate for our answering; “Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household to give food in due season?” One of the premises for writing these lessons of a lifetime was a belief that everyone is a leader to someone, just as those to whom Jesus first posed this question to nearly two thousand years ago.
Some of those listeners went on to become spiritual leaders leading the early church. For many of those leaders it literally cost them their lives to follow Jesus. And yet, their reward for faithfully following Jesus and His teachings was greater than anything they left behind.
And their leadership legacy as spiritual leaders lives on in the pages of the New Testament, and in the lives of those who obey Jesus’ teachings through their word and example. They were faithful and they were wise servants. Are we as wise? Are we as faithful? And if not, what is it that stands in the way of our becoming wise and faithful?
And if we consider ourselves wise and faithful, will we remain faithful as those early believers turned early leaders, when the heat and pressure of the end times is turned up? Or will we be among the many who will become offended by what they will wrongfully label as the delay of Christ’s coming?
The apostle Paul, and early 1st century leader declared by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit in 2 Thessalonians chapter 2; “Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day [the Day of the Lord’s coming and His gathering together His saints] will not come [or will not take place] unless [or until] the falling away comes first, and the man of sin [Antichrist] is revealed, the son of perdition.” More on this later in this lesson of a lifetime!
Something Else To Consider:
These final end time warnings to all nations are another end time warning to each of us, our loved ones, our neighbors, and our friends, as well as our enemies. The warning for each of us is to be faithful and wise, whether a spiritual leader or a spiritual leader in training.
And our spiritual calling from God is not just to endure, though that is an important part of the call and command of Christ. Our being faithful and wise servants according to Jesus in this final warning to all nations, is associated with our giving food to others in due season. I am convinced Jesus was speaking of our giving the spiritual food of the Word of God in due season, a season prepared for by God.
And yet, that is one of the greatest and most terrible short coming of the last couple of generations of so-called church leaders, the giving of biblical spiritual food to the hungry masses of humanity. And much of what has been spoon-fed to church attendees, has been that which is false, misleading, deceiving, and that which appeals much to the sinful nature of our flesh.
Jesus also spoke of the eventual falling away that Paul wrote of. In Matthew 24.10 Jesus predicted, “And then many will be offended [which will cause many to fall away from biblical faith], will betray one another, and will hate one another.” The moment the Antichrist is revealed, the majority of so-called Christianity will be offended that the falsely promised pre-tribulation rapture teaching will be proved to have been a hoax.
Something More To Consider:
As spiritual leaders or leaders in training living in these end times, we must be daily prepared as givers of God’s Word by becoming partakers of His Word on a regular and constant basis. The Word of God must become an integral part of our daily spiritual diet.
But if we neglect this spiritual training process, the chances are high of our becoming like evil servants of the past. End times will be hard times. Many will fall prey to evil temptations under the pressure of evil pressing in on all sides. We must be ready! We must be prepared!
We must be faithful and wise for our sakes and for the sakes of those watching us, because we have become spiritual leaders. The alternative is not good! Therefore, how will you and I answer Jesus’ opening question now? “Who then is a faithful and wise servant?” Let us be very careful with our answer. He already knows the correct answer!
The apostle Paul explained in 1 Corinthians 4.1-2; “Let a man [woman or young person] consider us [fellow true Christians], as servants of Christ and stewards [those responsible] of the mysteries of God. Moreover, it is required in stewards that one be found faithful.” And if we are found faithful by God, then we are also found wise as well!
A Few Final Words:
According to Jesus, in Revelation 2.10, speaking of servants of God facing tribulation; “Do not fear any of these things which you are about to suffer [end time events]. Indeed the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you a crown of life.”
Are we heeding these end time warnings to all nations taught to us by Jesus? Will we be found by Jesus as faithful and wise true end time servants? The warning to all servant style spiritual leaders is to be faithful and wise, for others are depending on our faithfully delivering the spiritual food of the Word of God in due season. For according to Jesus, “Who then is a faithful and wise servant whom his master made ruler over his household, to give food in due season?”
As mentioned earlier, according to the apostle Paul and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, the Antichrist must be revealed before the gathering of the saints. Have we been deceived by the recent teaching of a pre-tribulation rapture? According to Jesus, “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.”
Many false prophets and so-called bible teachers have come declaring their false doctrines such as the pre-tribulation rapture theory. Though they claim Jesus to be the Christ, or the Messiah, they deceive many with their false end time narratives of a return of Jesus before the end time tribulation. When the Antichrist appears on the world scene and proclaims himself to be God, the time to prepare for end times will be gone. Therefore, Jesus warned, “Take heed that no one deceives you.”
Prayer:
Our Father in heaven, make of us faithful and wise humble servants worthy to escape the coming judgment upon planet earth. Help us to truly heed the end time warnings proclaimed by Jesus. In Him Always, Amen!
