The Spirit Of Truth
Or
Another Promised Helper

Scripture To Consider:
“If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever-the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.”
“I will not leave you orphans. I will come to you. A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also. At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. He [or she] who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he [or she] who loves Me. And he [or she] who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him [or her] and manifest Myself to him [or her].”
“Judas, not Iscariot, said to Him, ‘Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?’ Jesus answered and said to him, ‘If anyone loves Me, he [or she] will keep My word; and My Father will love him [or her], and We will come to him [or her] and make Our home with him [or her]. He [or she] who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.’” John 14.15-24
Something To Consider:
According to Jesus, the proof of our love for God is relative to our obedience or to our keeping His commandments. And in order to help us be obedient believers, Jesus promised to send us another Helper, the Spirit of truth. This Helper is none other than the Holy Spirit.
For Jesus declared that this Helper dwells with us and will be in us. As mentioned in an earlier lesson, before our coming to Christ, the Holy Spirit is with us convicting us of our sin and pointing us to Jesus as our Savior from sin. After conversion, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of truth, comes to dwell in us.
According to Jesus in John 8.31-32; “If you abide [continue] in My Word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Without our continuing in the Word of God, our spirit becomes weak and our flesh becomes strong. Without our abiding in Christ, honoring God and His Word then becomes difficult and less of a priority.
Without our abiding or continuing in the Word of truth, we are susceptible to the lies of the enemy and his insidious puppets of destruction, pretending to be political and religious so-called leaders. We cannot go there! If we do, we once again become enslaved to sin!
Something Else To Consider:
Again Jesus reinforced the truth of the relationship between loving God and keeping His commandments. According to our text it is clear that our keeping the words of Jesus carries with it a promise of Jesus manifesting Himself to those who are obedient to His Word.
So as obedient believers we are not left on this earth as orphans on our own. For we have been given a Helper, a Comforter, the Spirit of truth, the Holy Spirit of God. And yet, if we refuse to abide or to continue in the Word of God which includes the words of Jesus, then we risk walking in the darkness of this world and in the darkness of the god or ruler of this world, Satan.
Jesus proclaimed in John 12.46; “I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness.” The decision is ours! And we are not alone if we choose to walk and to live in accordance to the Word of God. We have the Spirit of truth, the Holy Spirit as our Helper.
Something More To Consider:
Therefore Jesus, by announcing His sending another Helper, was preparing His disciples for His departure. For they were still suffering under the delusion that the Messiah was to immediately establish His kingdom. And for the most part these disciples were shocked and surprised when the events of the next few days did not take place as they had thought and planned.
But again, what about us? Are we ever shocked and or surprised when our own plans and thoughts are altered or worse, from our perspective, they are crushed before our very eyes? It is in the midst of heart-breaking moments that as obedient believers we can rejoice for the fulfilled promise of the sending of another Helper, the Spirit of truth, God’s Holy Spirit.
There is coming an end time event that will completely shatter into pieces the wrongfully looked for false hope of a pre-tribulation rapture. When the Antichrist is revealed, and he will be revealed according to the Word of God; millions of deceived believers will be totally shocked and surprised.
And worse, they will be totally unprepared for what lies ahead of them! Therefore, stop listening to those propagating a false pre-tribulation rapture. Or at best, start reading your bible for yourself. Go back and read Daniel chapter 9-12. Read Matthew 24 and Luke 21 which both speak entirely of end time events and their chronological order. Please read for yourself 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 concerning the sequential order of end time events. If you do this, God’s holy Spirit of truth will reveal His truth to your heart and mind!
A Few Final Words:
And in all of your reading of the above-mentioned Scripture, you will realize a pre-tribulation rapture is missing from them all. This is too important to rely on men who desire the overflowing financial coffers of the so-called church to sustain themselves and their lavish lifestyles. They are simply repeating what keeps the so-called church full of listeners to their foolishness and keeps themselves financially stable.
Do not be numbered among the blind leading the blind as we approach the end of this age. If you are truly a born-again true child of God, you possess God’s another Helper, the Spirit of truth, the Holy Spirit. Let us take full advantage of His help. What is at stake is great and includes all of eternity!
The promise of another Helper, the Holy Spirit of truth, is promised to all who keep the commandments of Jesus. Are we therefore truly eligible for receiving the promise of another Helper, the Spirit of truth? For according to Jesus, “And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever, the Spirit of truth.”
Prayer:
Our Father in heaven, thank You for the promise of Your Holy Spirit, our Helper in times of trouble, helping us to remain obedient. Lead us as true believers to Your truth concerning end time events and the coming of an Antichrist prior to the coming of Jesus Christ. In Him Always, Amen!
